Resolution in Support of the Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE)

    Whereas, President Donald John Trump - the 47th President of this Representative Republic - was overwhelmingly elected in the 2024 Presidential Election, where he received a clear mandate; as the Republicans now control the Legislative with the Executive branch of government, and;

    Whereas, the federal government is 36.5 trillion dollars, and climbing, in debt, with the interest to support that crippling debt over 1 trillion dollars, and;

    Whereas, the political class of these United States have roundly proven to be completely incapable of governing in the proper and prudent administration of the public's assets, and the public's treasury, and;

    Whereas, the resounding appeal of President Trump is that he is NOT a member of the inept political class, far too long lurking about within our United States government, where Mr. Trump clearly envisions our Republic's future path; and is therefore making vast political strides to set this Constitutional Republic on its clear path to government solvency, and;

    Whereas, President Trump had the supreme foresight to understand that congress could not make decisions fast enough to lay the groundwork for the necessary momentum in discovering the rampant "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" in our federal system of government, and, therefore, due to President Trump being "cloaked in immense Executive Power," which enables the President to govern by executive order to discover the "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" in funding, thus legislated and appropriated by congress, and allocated for the Executive, in most cases, to constitutionally administer, and;

    Whereas, President Trump has sought the advice and services of Government Agent Elon Musk, a highly capable innovator and the high general of American Industry, to administer the recently created Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE); a third party agency tasked with discovering "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" in our federal system of government, therefore;

    Let it be resolved, Beaufort County's Commissioners abjectly believe that all levels of government - local, state and federal - must govern within their means of gathering a public treasury, and until the United States Congress can sustain the political means to eliminate all "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" by their immense legislative powers to do so, Beaufort County's Commissioners unambiguously support the Trumpian concept and origination of the Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE), and greatly anticipate its incredible part in helping the United States of America's federal government becoming impeccably solvent in perpetuity.

Written by Beaufort County Commissioner Stan Deatherage for passage on March 10th, and, once ratified, to be distributed to all members of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation, and the Administration of President Donald John Trump.
